Can I get filling material instead of a veneer?
Yes, you can. Another use for tooth colored filling materials is to repair slightly chipped, discolored, or crooked teeth. This is done by adding the tooth back using the same bonded filling material used in cavities. The bonded material can be masterfully shaped to ensure a beautiful smile. The advantage of using these types of bondings over a porcelain veneer are the need to remove less tooth structure and they are more cost effective. The primary disadvantage is the inability to match the shade as closely.
